Installation	Installation of Yii mainly involves the following two steps: Download Yii Framework from yiiframework.com. Unpack the Yii release file to a Web-accessible directory. TipYii does not need to be installed under a Web-accessible directory. An Yii application has one entry script which is usually the only file that needs to be exposed to Web users. Other PHP scripts, including those from Yii, should be protected from Web access since they may be exploited for hacking.

I've been working with Yii for 1.5 year. Really easy to learn and love its ActiveRecord, gii generator. Also found out recently a greate CMS called FlexicaCMS which uses Yii 1.1.2 that's really a Joomla killer. Wait for its stable version...

Tried Zend, Symfony, Cake, and CodeIgniter. Then i found Yii. This is a well architected, complete, and powerful framework. Simply the best and i never look back.
