I had a quick question. My wife got me a Entourage Rustic CW QI for Christmas. First let me say that is a beautiful guitar and I am very happy with it. Tonight for the first time I plugged it in and played it with my band. For the longest time i was using a cheap yamaha acoustic with a dean pick up so this was a first for me. It sounded great plugged in however it was not as loud as the other guitar. When i turned up the volume on the amp and/or the guitar, I got massive feedback. I also noticed the single notes were harder to recognize. I was curious if you had any suggestions as to what I should have the settings at? Should I rely more on the amp for the sound or the settings on the guitar?
Try the instructions on the Seagull website regarding this first:
Operating Suggestions Before plugging in for the first time, adjust Quantum volume to minimum (fully counterclockwise) and set bass and treble at midrange. Plug into endpin jack and amplifier. Increase volume slowly to desired level. Adjust bass and treble to desired level.
Maybe this will resolve it for you.
